Room open from April on The room is approximately 23sqm on the second floor of our shared house. The room is unfurnished, BUT! if you are interested in our communal living situation, we are happy to help and organize the furniture situation together. In our basement we have some storage furniture one can use, and we love to hunt for free stuff on the internet :) The room is free from the beginning of April till the end of July.Attention: We are also looking for somebody to take over a smaller room from August on. It features a main area of approx. 3 × 3 m and a separate attic-style sleeping area (approx. 3 × 1.8 m), creating a cozy and intimate nook (the bed can be removed to rearrange the space according to your needs). . We are / About us We live in a shared flat of 6 people in a detached single-family house in Dietikon. Around the house there is a large garden with fruit trees, where we grow vegetables. The fire pit area invites us to sit together in the evenings. Cats and a dog are also part of our daily life. We are a diverse and open-minded WG, valuing both shared living and personal space. A conscious, respectful, and caring way of relating to each other is important to us, regardless of origin, gender, or whom one loves. The house has its years, but in return we have complete freedom to shape it according to our ideas. We don't see our home merely as a place to live, but as a shared project: a space we actively and creatively shape together — whether by adding color to the walls, renovating areas, or sharing cozy dinners and board games. Here, there is room to experiment, think together, build, and dream. Your future flatmates would be Jara (27), dog sitter and animal lover; creative, extroverted, and full of energy for new projects. Nikki (27), long term visitor and enthusiastic nanobiologist, working as an intern at Eawag, loves to work in the beautiful garden on the weekend and is passionate about cooking and fermenting! Simi (26), a biology student, politically engaged, practices bouldering, and loves repairing and building things around the house and garden. Sophia (26), aspiring social worker, loves to read, cook and be creative in her free time. Nico (25), physiotherapist, passionate about sports. Currently traveling through South America until June. His room is temporarily occupied by Luca (30), a visiting PhD student in Environmental Science, music lover and electric bass player, who also stays till the end of july. Adding on we have our grumpy grandpa Max (the cat) and Canela the enthusiastic dog, who live with us.Nearby / Location The house borders the river, and a forest is just a 10-minute walk away. The S17 tram runs right next to the house and takes you to Dietikon station in 4 minutes, where you can also find several supermarkets and frequent connections to Zürich :) We’re looking for We’re looking for someone who enjoys communal and conscious living, and is interested in taking care of a shared space and daily life together. If you're interested in topics such as art, sustainability, equality, or political engagement — or are simply curious about exchanging ideas — you'll likely feel at home with us.
